MAMBA MENTALITY

The Mamba Mentality is about obsession. It is about prioritizing your professional goals over having a normal, balanced life. It is about playing without fear, mastering your craft and wanting not only to win, but to dominate. It takes relentlessness, confidence, dedication, and laser focus. Mamba mentality is all about focusing on the process and trusting in the hard work when it matters most. If you want to be great in any particular area, you have to obsess over it. Mamba mentality means “just try to get better every day.” It’s the “simplest form of just trying to get better at whatever you’re doing.” Even though some might have natural attributes or abilities, what distinguishes the ordinary from the extraordinary is the amount of work and dedication put into perfecting a craft. Mindset is what separates the best from the rest.

You don't have to be a superstar to actualize it in your own life. What areas in your life could you apply it to? Are there certain things you’re good at that you could become a master of? Are you putting in the work necessary to accomplish mastery? Are you letting the fear of failure inhibit your pursuit of success? What exactly does “Mamba Mentality” mean, though? Kobe Bryant answered this question in his own words. “To sum up what mamba mentality is, it means to be able to constantly try to be the best version of yourself. Mamba mentality is the ultimate mantra for the competitive spirit." There are five pillars that Bryant writes about when speaking about Mamba Mentality and they are: resilience, fearlessness, obsessiveness, relentlessness, and passion. At Goodridge Strength and Conditioning we remember Kobe Bryant by living by Bryant’s Mamba Mentality. Rest in peace.

"Passion, excellence, commitment, and drive are a few words that describes Malcolm's approach to training. Any person seeking out Goodridge Strength and Conditioning for training is not only gaining a great coach but taking the necessary steps to greatness as well."
